Foreign English Teacher
  1. Salary (Depending on highest education attainment and teaching seniority)
    • Holders of a bachelor’s degree: NT$ 65,230~85,380.
    • Holders of a master’s degree: NT$ 72,760~94,980.
    • Holders of a doctoral degree: NT$ 75,950~100,010.

    * The salary is based upon a teacher’s highest education attainment and teaching experiences (service length). Teaching seniority shall be calculated according to the period for teaching at a domestic (Taiwan) or overseas public elementary school, junior high school, or senior high school or a legally registered private elementary school, junior high school, or senior high school in Taiwan (R. O. C). Teaching experience that cannot be counted towards the total teaching seniority includes the period before obtaining a teaching certificate, part-time teaching, intern teaching, teaching service of less than one year, and any period served as a headmaster/headmistress/principal.

  2. Flight Reimbursement

    The program offers reimbursement for one economy class airfare for coming to Taiwan from the nearest airport from the applicant's location in the passport issuing country, the city where one worked at or whose family is residing and one ticket for returning to the foregoing location. The maximum subsidy for the single/return trips of flight tickets shall be NT$40,000 each trip based on the actual amount spent. One round-trip economy class airfare will be reimbursed to one of applicant's spouse or immediate family members if visits Taiwan during the school year that applicant is employed.

    *Please note that the flight reimbursement is subject to the employment contract with your designated school. For more details, please confirm with your designated school after receiving school placement.

  3. Housing Rental Reimbursement

    The contract employer should offer a housing rental reimbursement if accommodations cannot be provided. A maximum of NT$5,000 each month (single) or a maximum of NT$10,000 each month (family) based on actual rent expense.

    *Exception: The housing rental reimbursement is not applicable if the accommodation is provided by the contract employer or residing in a property owned by yourself or your family member in Taiwan. If you and the cohabitant are employed by the same English teaching program, only one shall claim the housing rental reimbursement. The maximum amount for housing rental reimbursement is NT$10,000.

  4. Performance Bonus

    Normally, teachers who have worked for a school year and have been graded A in annual performance are given an extra month’s pay as a bonus; teachers who have worked for a school year and have been graded B are given an extra 1/2 month's pay as a bonus.

  5. Overtime Pay

    For elementary school, each period is NT$400; for junior high school, each period is NT$450.

  6. National Health Insurance and Work Accident Insurance/Labor Insurance

    National health insurance, labor insurance and work accident insurance are provided. (Labor pension is provided if the applicant is qualified based on Article 7 of the Labor Pension Act.)

Please notice, all reimbursement will be approved by the school accounting office before being paid.
Foreign English Teaching Assistant
  1. Monthly Salary

    The program provides a teaching assistant with a monthly salary of NT$48,000.

  2. Flight Reimbursement

    The program offers reimbursement for one economy class airfare for coming to Taiwan from the nearest airport from the applicant's location in the passport issuing country, the city where one worked at or whose family is residing, and one ticket for returning to the foregoing location. The maximum subsidy for the single/return trips of flight tickets shall be NT$40,000 each trip based on the actual amount spent.

    *Please note that the flight reimbursement is subject to the employment contract with your designated school. For more details, please confirm with your designated school after receiving school placement.

  3. Housing Rental Reimbursement

    The contract employer should offer a housing rental reimbursement if accommodations cannot be provided. A maximum of NT$26,000 each school year on an actual expense basis.

    *Exception: The housing rental reimbursement is not applicable if the accommodation is provided by the contract employer or residing in a property owned by yourself or your family member in Taiwan.

  4. Reimbursement for Taking Certificate Class

    The contract employer will reimburse applicant up to NT$ 55,000 per school year for the actual cost of applicant’s taking TESOL, TEFL or CELTA classes during the employment period.

  5. Transportation Reimbursement

    The contract employer will reimburse applicant on transportation based on the actual expenses at a maximum of NT$ 3,000 every school year.

  6. National Health Insurance and Work Accident Insurance/Labor Insurance

    National health insurance and labor insurance and work accident insurance are provided. (Labor pension is provided if the applicant is qualified based on Article 7 of the Labor Pension Act.)
